About DevZone Tools

Hi. I'm the person who builds and maintains DevZone Tools. I'd rather keep my name off the site, but everything you use here was built by one human, on nights and weekends, paying for the hosting out of pocket.

Why this site exists

Every time I needed to format a JSON blob, decode a JWT, or crop an image, I'd end up on some cluttered tool site that wanted my email, showed me three ads, and — in the worst cases — uploaded my data to a server I didn't control. For tools that exist to handle code, tokens, or private photos, that's not acceptable.

So I started building what I wished existed: a single place with fast, honest utilities that run entirely in your browser.

What “privacy-first” actually means here

Not a marketing phrase. A technical commitment:

  • Every tool runs client-side. Your JSON, your images, your JWTs, your passwords — none of it touches my server. Open the network tab and verify.
  • No accounts, ever. There's nothing to sign up for because there's nothing I'd do with an account.
  • No tracking of the text you paste. I use Google Analytics to count page views (it helps me know which tools to improve) but I never see or store the content you put into any tool.
  • No tracking cookies beyond GA. No pixels, no retargeting, no session recording.

The one honest exception: there's a single banner ad slot in the footer that helps cover hosting. If that's a dealbreaker, I understand — uBlock Origin handles it cleanly.

What's here

  • 51 tools across developer utilities, calculators (financial, health, productivity), file converters, and generators.
  • Growing every week — I ship new tools and improvements based on what people ask for.
  • Free forever. No freemium tier. No “Pro” version. If a tool is here, it works for everyone.

Feature requests

If there's a tool you wish existed on DevZone Tools, tell me. Seriously — most of what's here got built because someone emailed me and said “can you make X?” I can't promise to build everything, but I read every suggestion and a good one usually lands within a couple of weeks.
