Frequently Asked Questions
Is the audio conversion free?
- Yes, completely free. There are no limits on conversions, no account required, and no watermarks added.
Are my audio files uploaded anywhere?
- No. All conversion is done by FFmpeg WebAssembly running entirely inside your browser. Your files never leave your device.
Why does the tool need a moment to load?
- FFmpeg WebAssembly (~10 MB) is downloaded once on first use and then cached by your browser. Subsequent conversions start immediately.
What is the maximum file size?
- 200 MB per file. For very large files, browser memory may be the limiting factor depending on your device.
Can I convert multiple files at once?
- Yes. Add up to 5 files and convert them all in one session. Each file converts and downloads independently.
Will converting change the audio quality?
- Converting to WAV is lossless. Converting between lossy formats (MP3, OGG) involves re-encoding, so use the highest bitrate your use case allows to minimise quality loss.
