Resume Builder
Build a clean, one-page resume that passes ATS scans. Fill in the form, pick a template, and export a selectable-text PDF — no account, no upload, no data leaves your browser.
What it does
ATS-Safe by Design
All templates are single-column with standard fonts (Calibri, Georgia, Arial). No tables, no multi-column layouts, no icons replacing text — the structural choices that cause ATS failures are off by default.
Live One-Page Enforcement
The preview is a fixed US Letter canvas. As you type, a red dashed line appears if your content overflows. A specific warning tells you what to trim, and the compact template helps you squeeze more in.
Real Selectable-Text PDF
Export uses your browser's built-in print engine — the same engine that produces selectable text in every PDF viewer. ATS systems can extract every field correctly.
Autosaved Locally
Every edit is saved to your browser's localStorage within 500ms. Close the tab and come back — your resume is exactly where you left it. Export a JSON backup to save to disk.
Three Templates, One Dataset
Switch between Modern (teal accents, sans-serif), Classic (serif, centered header), and Compact (tight spacing for dense content) instantly. All templates share the same form data.
Reorder Anything
Move major sections up or down to suit your experience level. Promote Education above Experience for new graduates, or prioritise Projects over Skills for a portfolio-first impression.
How to use Resume Builder
- 1Fill in your contact details
Name and email are required. Phone, city, LinkedIn, and portfolio/GitHub are optional.
- 2Add your experience and education
Tap "Add role" or "Add school." Use 1–6 bullets per role with strong action verbs. Dates auto-format to ATS-safe MMM YYYY.
- 3Pick a template
Modern is the default. Switch to Classic for traditional industries or Compact if your content is dense.
- 4Check the preview
The right panel shows an accurate one-page preview. A red line and warning banner appear if you overflow — trim bullets or switch templates.
- 5Export PDF
Click "Export PDF." A pre-flight checklist runs. Then your browser's print dialog opens — select "Save as PDF" and choose a destination.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this resume pass ATS?
- The templates are designed specifically for ATS compatibility: single column, standard fonts (Calibri, Georgia, Arial), no tables for layout, and selectable text in the PDF export. These are the structural factors that cause ATS failures, and all of them are handled correctly.
Is my data saved or uploaded anywhere?
- No. Everything is stored in your browser's localStorage. Nothing is sent to any server. You can verify this in your browser's Network tab — there are zero requests during editing.
How do I get a PDF?
- Click "Export PDF," pass the pre-flight check, then save from the browser print dialog. Select "Save as PDF" as the destination. The resulting file contains real selectable text, not a screenshot.
What is the one-page limit?
- Most ATS systems and recruiters expect a one-page resume for students and early-career candidates (0–5 years experience). The preview canvas is a fixed US Letter page. A red dashed line and warning appear if your content exceeds it.
Can I use A4 instead of US Letter?
- Yes. In the editor, change the Paper Size setting to A4. The preview and PDF export update automatically.
How do I save a backup?
- Click "Save JSON" to download your resume as a .json file. You can import it later with the "Import" button to restore your data in any browser.
What fonts does the PDF use?
- Modern and Compact templates use Calibri (falls back to Arial/Helvetica). Classic uses Georgia (falls back to Times New Roman). All are standard ATS-tested fonts that embed correctly in PDF.
