What it does

NCAA Administrative model preset

Loads with Model = NCAA Administrative pre-selected. The factor table is the same one NCAA uses for championship qualifying.

SCM → SCY and LCM → SCY only

NCAA does not publish factors for SCM ↔ LCM. The page shows a clear coverage warning if you pick that direction and recommends Classical or USA Swimming instead.

Compare against Classical and USA Swimming

Open Compare-models view to see how the same time converts under all four models. Sometimes NCAA and Classical agree to within 0.1s; sometimes they don't.

Roster mode for college coaches

Paste a list of recruits with their LCM or SCM bests. Get back a single roster table with NCAA-model SCY equivalents. CSV export works with most recruiting spreadsheets.

NCAA A/B cuts inline

Switch to Standards mode + federation = NCAA to see the cut chips for A and B cuts (Open age group). Useful for ranking recruits against the program's qualifying threshold.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the NCAA Administrative model?

It's the official factor table NCAA uses to convert SCM or LCM times to SCY equivalents for championship qualifying and seeding. College coaches use the same factors when ranking international recruits.

Why doesn't NCAA cover SCM ↔ LCM?

NCAA championship competition is SCY only. The federation publishes factors only for the directions relevant to qualifying: SCY ↔ SCM and SCY ↔ LCM. For SCM ↔ LCM, the tool returns a coverage warning and suggests Classical or USA Swimming.

Is the NCAA factor different from Classical?

Yes, slightly. NCAA Administrative is approximately 0.3% higher than the Classical Colorado Timing factor for SCY ↔ SCM and SCY ↔ LCM. Open Compare-models view to see the spread for your specific event.

How do I know if a recruit hits a NCAA A cut?

Convert their LCM or SCM time to SCY using NCAA model, then switch to Standards mode and pick federation = NCAA. The page shows the A and B cut values for Open age group, plus the swimmer's position.

Does this work for women's and men's NCAA?

Yes. Pick the gender in the editor; the cut values for NCAA differ by gender and the page applies the right cuts.

Will my roster data be uploaded?

No. Times stay in your browser. Roster mode is export-only.
